Relative Humidity Audit
Humidity, particularly in hot and humid climates, often creates major environmental issues that need to be addressed - not just because of thermal comfort requirements but also because humidity is the major cause of many indoor air quality-related problems. High humidity levels in indoor air inevitably result in higher concentrations of contaminants due to the enhanced conditions for productive growth of the microbial organism.
By comparison, very low humidity may result in dusty atmospheres and the symptoms of "dryness" that are commonly reported.
Singapore National Environment Agency recommends that the maximum threshold level for relative humidity should not exceed 70% based on “Guidelines for Good Indoor Air Quality in Office Premises”.
