Temperature

Temperature is the most directly sensed of the indoor environmental conditions. We have all experienced the discomfort of being “too hot” or “too cold”.

But temperature and thermal differentials can also promote the growth of micro organisms, particularly if humidity is high.

Hence, temperature control is a critical factor in the determination of comfort perception by the occupant, and in the maintenance of a healthy environment.

Singapore National Environment Agency specifies temperatures ranging from 22.5°C to 25.5°C for thermal comfort based on “Guidelines for Good Indoor Air Quality in Office Premises”.
